So I’m not sure how I left this out, but during the crazy rainstorm on Thursday, our house flooded. Not too badly, but enough to where we had to mop the house and put up chairs and curtains (it came through the windows). I put up some photos of the experience, so you can see somewhat the craziness of the rain.
I also left out some of my favorite phrases!
Ego ko! – exclamation when something is unbelievable (e.g. they are trying to charge an exorbitant price, ego ko, ni menshi cyane! My goodness, that is very expensive)
Ego mama rero – exclamation when something is unbelievable (taught to me by the nuns on the night of site visit when I made them cry…with laughter)
