Correction; FIVE months of nothing

So, I was really lucky and ended up meeting a girl who is going to my program with me. She lives down the street and went to the same elementary school with me! (craziest coincidence of my life)! And she was told we were leaving January 26th, so I emailed PC and they told me that yes, we are not leaving until Jan. 26th. Not Dec. 1st like I was first told, not Jan. 14th like I was told nor Jan. 13th, the last date they gave me. I am soooo ready to go. The anticipation is not fun. I just want to be there already. The more they push it back, the older I will be when I get home (looks like 26 now!) I am just so frustrated with everything. I am so excited to go and I feel like its so far away. I want to be there and start working and start my life there.

Four months of nothing

Well, they got a new country supervisor and she needs to get set up before we can go, so instead of leaving Dec. 1st, I won't be going until Jan. 13th. I'm a little disappointed because I was planning on going in September and now I have to figure out what to do for four months before I leave. I have to get a job!

Rwanda!

I'm going to Rwanda to do an HIV/AIDS program!!! The dates in my packet were a little strange, so I'm still not sure when I am going, but I think its going to be this December. I am so excited! This is perfect, how did I get so lucky! Rwanda has gorillas!! They speak French, its Africa, its close (ish) to Kenya and Malawi. I am SOOOO happy.

All Clear!

I've been medically cleared and they sent my info to the placement office! So, I should know in the next few days/weeks where I will be going. Finally!

This is taking FOREVER!

Trying to get through the medical clearance has been extremely frustrating! I've had it sent back to me twice already and still need a MMR booster shot and orthopedic consultation for my back. I just want to know where and when I am going already! I am still super excited, but a little annoyed at the process right now. I hope everything isnt this difficult. Hopefully, everything will go through this time without a hitch and I will be able to find out where I am going to be and let all of you know so you can start planning your vacations to visit me! ;)
